Twins first time at the gym
I decided to take the wee ones to the gym. The babysitting room is nice (read: clean) and I got to know the teacher from bringing Hazel. Winter & Simone do not get out much and have never been to a day care, so this was a brand new adventure for them.
Now that I went thru the motions with Hazel, I thought it would be a cinch leaving my babies in a strange place for an hour. Bye bye, Ill be back in and hour! Kiss Kiss.
I got into the BodyPump class and was all set up. I heard something that sounded like Simone crying but shrugged it off as the club music playing out in the weight area. Heard it again coming thru the vents. I decided to go out and check. I was right. Simone was crying and somehow mommy was able to hear her way way way over in the class room of the gym.
I had nix the class and stay in the playroom for a while until they settled in more. The teacher suggested I go work on the machines because its easier for her to come get me. So I did. I "ripped the band aid off" (as Daniel would say) and said my goodbyes again. We decided if she cried for more than five minutes she would come out to get me.
I ran for 35 minutes on the treadmill uninterrupted while watching and episode of Fresh Prince about twins. For some reason I ran faster than usual, thinking it would cram in more cardio in case I had to bail. I finished my run, used the rest room, did some sit ups, and opened the playroom door to two happy toddlers. Hooray, we did it!
The irony about it all is that I was sure Winter would be the clingy one. He was perfectly fine and enjoyed exploring all the new toys. Go figure!

Happy Birthday No. 2 Babies!
I just realized that the twin's actual due date, or "adjusted date" just passed. They were due August 22nd, 2008. Happy Birthday again my dears.
For those of you who do not know or forgot, they arrived 10 weeks early on June 15th.
The docs feel their size has caught up and in the next couple months their development will too. They usually give preemies two years to "catch up."
