Happy First Birthday.

Our babysitter, Miss Betty, gave Winter and Simone this great wagon. What a nice gift! We could not wait until tomorrow to take a ride so we improvised in the living room. Its nice to see them sharing on balloon. That wont last long. Big sister Hazel helped put the wagon together. Literally. She put the thing together and Mommy was her helper. I was so proud of her.

June 7th. 2am. We made it home.

back in Philly 2am

Daniel is so tall, only the top of Simone's head pops out of the Ergo backpack like a turtle. She spent a good hour in it and seemed super content.

Forgot one detail about the flight

Simone was playing and chewing on a snack container and managed to
bite a piece of plastic off it. She started choking right about the
time we going to take off! I quickly got her unstrapped and swept her
mouth with my finger. I got one piece of it, bit there was more stuck
way back there. Taking a swig from her bottle only made it worse. The
flight attendants started to offer help after noticing the comotion.
At this point Simone promtply swallowed the remaining piece of
plastic. Luckily it is flexible and small, as I could see what size
piece was missing from the package. Whew!

BTW, the Frontier flight attendants were amazing. Unfortunately I
cannot say that for all airline staff.

Got our baggage and our rental car.

The flight was okay. No major breakdowns from the kids. Simone napped
and was a complete angel but pooped twice on the plane. Winter did not
want to nap, but an extra bottle helped him finally give in. We only
paid for one seat for the babies, but we were given one of the few
empty seats for the second baby car seat, thank goodness. We are now
in transit to our lodge in Manitoba Springs, looking at the big sky,
and typing on my iPhone. Hazel just made the babies crack up in the
back of the van. Then the special moment ended quickly when she
decided to throw snack wrappers at them.
